Harrison's Priceless poem - "A Mother's Poem"

A Mothers Poem

Held tight in her arms,
The baby boy cried
His face to her chest,
Just trying to hide.
That little boy did not know,
Nor would he ever,
of the arms that held him,
and would leave him never.

His purple face calmed in color,
As he heard her first words,
"I am your mother"
"This life is different, from the one you came,
There is trouble and torment, and man is vain.
I’m happy you came, but sorry you're here,
When trial trips your heart, know the Savior is near"

Months felt like days
as her little boy grew.
Laughter left his lungs
as they played peek-a-boo.

One black shoe and then the other,
Slipped on his feet, as he clung to his mother.
“You're my big brave boy,” as the tie slipped on.
“Now, listen to your leaders, I won’t be gone for so long”.

That short two hours turned to ten years,
as they left church, she was stricken with fear.
Now behind the wheel, her young man smiled,
She looked at him and said "don't be wild"

They both laughed at what was said
but great fear turned the heart,
of the mother in her head.

As the clock sung midnight
and the truck was not home.
Mother began to worry,
"why won’t he answer his phone?"

Her mind started to wonder
Does he pray?  Does he listen?
Does his heart still love the Lord?
Will my son go on a mission?
In her humble prayer, her tears cried love.
"Help my baby boy know who he’s of."

As her heart beat grew,
and she spoke from the core.
She jumped to her feet,
as she heard the front door.

"Sorry mom, I ran out of gas,
what can I say, I like to go fast"
Tears fell off, the mothers nose
As she knew in her heart,
where her baby boy would go
"whats wrong mom?"
as he hugged her goodnight.
She smirked and held him
"just a little fright"

She thanked the Lord, then fell asleep
but woke right up, to an alarming beep.

Now one brown shoe and then the other,
slipped on his feet, as he talked to his mother.
"I’m still your baby boy", as the tie slipped on
"This is not good bye, I won’t be gone for too long"

The car parked, he was all checked in.
The boy looked to his mother,
his mother looked at him.
his red face calmed in color,
as he heard his last words,
"I am your mother"
"This world is different from the one you came,
there is trouble and torment and man is vain.
I’m happy you're leaving,
but sad you won’t be near,
but when trial trips your heart,
know the Savior is near.

He wiped her tears, as he hugged his mom tight
and promised her he would serve with all of his might.
He turned his shoulder
and walked straight way up the stairs
looking back one last time
to see his mother standing there.
One last tear, fell from her chin
as she watched her baby boy
leave home to serve Him.

I am that baby boy, who was held in my moms arms
I am that baby boy who likes to drive fast cars.

I just want to share a story .....
                                   its Called “The Star Fish”
There was a writer who lived by the beach,
Every day before he wrote he would walk along the shore.
One day as he walked along the shore he saw a man in the distance.
It appeared that this man was dancing, as the writer grew closer he saw that this man was not dancing, but picking up star fish and throwing them back past the waves. The writer asked "what are you doing?"
The man replied "throwing the star fish back to the sea."
The writer said “well, better question would be why are you doing that?"
The man continued to through them in and said:"The tide was going down and and the sun would kill the star fish, so I’m throwing them back into the sea.”The writer looked at him funny and said: "but there are miles of shore with thousands of star fish. You are NOT going to make a difference"
The man picked up a star fish and threw it beyond the waves and looked to the writer and said " It made a difference for that one".

I’m not going to baptize every person I meet but if I just mearly make someone smile, I have made a difference. Don't judge people. Just ask "what can I do". I talk to guys who have tattoos on their face and they tell me that they needed to hear my voice. Follow the spirit. While I was waiting for other missionaries, I went through my phone and prayed to know who I should call. I called a lady out of random who has two autistic sons who are about 20 years old. We talked for a while , then the missionaries I was waiting for came back and we got in the car and we drove to someone's house. My phone was about to die and as it did I looked up and the name that the other missionaries randomly picked was her, the same lady I just spoke with.  When she opend the door she had tears on her face and said she needed us at that exact time.  Repent for the littlest things, repent for your thoughts and your life will change. Turn to the Lord at every opportunity. He can’t guide you if you don't ask. Lastly, listen to a talk given at an efy its about the pre existence and football. idk what its called but he talks in the beggining of them up with "father" and he would tell stories about his life' just try to find it. it is  amazing.

I KNOW THAT MY REDEMER LIVES AND I AM A CHILD OF GOD.
