Hey mom/ everyone,
It has been a great week filled with love of family, friends, and the savior. This week has been a lazy week since we were not aloud to go out and proselyte i was able to take my "spa sesh" in the tub haha. We had two amazing dinners, one Christmas eve which was crab, scallops, and steak and Christmas night we has the best roast i have ever had, it was a very elegant meal ( and my bishop is a chiropractor so i got alined which always makes the night better). The ward out here is awesome, they are the typical back woods love everyone type people. The ward brings light in the sorrows of the work, and on the bright side it is getting lighter every day. A few weeks ago i went to a meeting and our steak president spoke and he gave this quote for our specific area "you cant learn to work hard if the work is easy" and i think that relates to all of you guys. The work im doing is a bit different than yours, but this applies to all factors of life. God knows us and he knows our limits and will push us because he knows what we can become. My dad wrote me this week and said that, "It is easy to look good when the work is easy. It is easy to feel good when baptism are coming right and left. The real measure of a person comes when no one is looking." No one may be temporally watching me but i know that the work i do today will effect tomorrow, or my kids, or my wife and thats what gets me out side knocking doors in the cold. I had to take a long hard look at my self and ask Why is this important? then when i came up with that answer i asked again, why is that important? I needed a drive, a motivating factor, and i found it.
